The heart of it

1. Agreeing to these terms

By creating an account or using Compersion, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. Compersion is operated by Eric Harmond, New Braunfels, Texas.

2. Who can join

3. Community standards

We have zero tolerance for the following. Breaking these can get content removed and your account suspended or removed, without warning in serious cases.

4. Reporting, blocking and how we act

5. Your content

You own what you post. By posting, you give Compersion permission to store it and show it to the members you've chosen to share it with, only to run the app. We don't sell it or use it for advertising. You're responsible for what you post, and you must have the right to share it, including photos of other people (with their consent).

6. Messages

Private messages are end-to-end encrypted, so we can't read them unless one of the people in the conversation shares them with us, for example in a report. Hellos are limited so no one can message the whole community.

7. Ending your account

You can delete your account in the app at any time (You tab, then "Delete my account"). We may suspend or remove accounts that break these Terms or put members at risk.

8. The service itself

Compersion is free. We work hard to keep it safe and running, but it's provided "as is," and we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We aren't responsible for how members behave toward each other, on or off the app, though we act on reports. Meet new people in public places and trust your instincts. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim about Compersion is limited to $100.

9. Changes and law

If we change these Terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before the change takes effect. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. If you have a dispute with us, please write to us first and give us 30 days to try to put it right. If we can't, it will be handled in the state or federal courts in Comal County, Texas, or in small-claims court. There is no forced arbitration.
